I recently purchased this dress online and i absolutely love how the Samantha Wills accessories compliment the smooth dusky colour of the outfit. I love an amazing dress with a gorgeous pair of heels but i felt like adding contrast to this outfit with these Wittner flatforms which gave this gentle look some edge.

ps. can you guys tell i'm lazy? messy hair and a bit of crinkle in the dress. that's just hot i roll

After MinkPink launched their global campaign with a wonderful tea party, jam packed with all things sweet and sugar- us bloggers got a tour of the brand new mink pink office. I took some photos to give you guys a special sneak peak. I fell in love with the whole vibe of the office- something i would love to work in one day. The place is packed with inspiring photos and quotes, numerous racks full of clothes old and new, story boards and photo shoots all pinned up brightening up the walls, and show rooms full of new gorgeous garments (accessories, sunglasses and swimwear too!) I am personally in love with their new line, i'm a sucker for sequins and cut outs- and there is a hell lot of both. Also a huge fan of the accessories as i am always one to not leave the house without a statement piece of jewellery.

I am happy to say that these will become very regular this year as i am devoting lots of time to my blog. This is the outfit i wore to the MINKPINK global tea party launch on friday. I'm a big believer on minimalism- and this soft dress is the most comfortable item of clothing i currently own, its light and flowy and the colour is currently my favorite for clothes (and i can guarantee this green to be everyones favorite to wear in winter, just watch.)

Here i Stand with the incredibly down to earth and gorgeous designer of Zipporra Karen Fulton (remember that name)

A few weeks ago i attended the new season launch for Zipporra with my partner in crime yan (http://parfasseux.blogspot.com/) The party was held in Skittle Lane, which would look like a normal lane way to a passing local however it was transformed into the perfect venue for the launch party, filled with excited bloggers, friends, photographers and guests all enjoying a perfect summer night with ongoing champagne and a hell of a good Dj. We got a preview of the new collection inspired by 'earth & water' (which is a concept i really love as i am an Aquarius and have always loved 'earth and water' inspired anything). All i can say is the Zipporra team know how to throw a good party! The designer is such a lovely person and i am so glad i met her, she's hardworking, fun and an inspiration. Also a big thanks to Rochelle (http://rochellefox.blogspot.com/) who invited us to the event and who might i add looked absolutely gorgeous on the night! much love xx

On monday i was lucky enough to be invited to the Tony Bianco Autumn/Winter 2012 exclusive blogger preview. I am one of those people who can sleep in wrists full of bracelets and fingers taken over by rings (usually on each finger). I will have shocking white tan lines on my hands from all my jewelry that i've worn through out summer and to me feeling naked isn't when i'm not wearing clothes or have my phone on me, it's when my hands are bare from rings. My love for accessories (and all things fashion) came from Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. My style icons since i was about 10 years old. I love how effortlessly cool they look in their oversized sunglasses two times bigger then their tiny heads, simple outfits that stand out and my favorite is always the amount of rings they wear! I've been quite the minimalist lately, and have been keeping it pretty simple when it comes to my outfits.

I recently purchased this red Mulberry clutch and have been obsessing over it! It's brisk colour gives my outfit a dynamic look. It was a weird feeling leaving behind my usual big bag that i practically store my life in and live out of but a clutch is a whole new feel! I'll definitely be purchasing more clutches this summer.

Today i was lucky enough to attend the official media presentation of the Fall/Winter 2012 collection for the amazing designer Samantha Wills. Her series 'In Residence' is heavily inspired by the Chateau Marmont, the old Hollywood decadent charm of LA. The hotel's vintage authenticity caught Samantha's eye imediently and made her feel as if she was living in the bygone era. Her collection was inspired and designed at the Chateau Marmont. I was in awe of the stunning stones and metals. Her collection features luxurious statement rings, necklaces, 60's inspired earrings, and one of my favorites the bracelets! The cuffs really stood out in this collection and i can't wait to get my hands on them! The series features two collection installments; Ne pas deranger, Do not disturb (In stores February 2012) and 8221 (The street number of the hotel- In stores April 2012) I will post more photos from this showing closer to the release of the collections. The reason i've been so MIA lately is because i've currently abandoned my laptop and have been spending my days lying at the beach, afternoons swimming in the ocean, nights with my best friends. In contrast to my love for the city and its hectic busy vibe, i am also a sucker for the salty ocean air, hot sand and refreshing cool water. Contrary to the current rainy weather, the past few weeks have definitely felt like summer. I've already gotten a tan and have been walking barefoot everywhere, living off homemade smoothies, making daisy chains, crushing on Kombi vans & sufers, collecting bracelets and living in shorts and have substituted bra and undies for my bikini tops and bottoms. (Hence why i haven't done any outfit posts because whos interested in a lazy beach outfit?) Although i'll start posting again very soon as i am on break and have a lot of free time now, so bare with me. Here is a series of fresh photos to get you in the mood for that toasty weather.

Today is the first day of spring.. one of my favorite seasons (not just because it is the the biggest month in fashion and all the magazines are 2 times their usual size) but because we all instantly feel lighter and happier, that heavy feeling of winter blues is lifted of our shoulders- literally speaking as we start to layer less and show more skin. How good does it feel to sit outside and feel the sun on your skin? We've all missed that feeling and even though spring isn't quite summer yet it is sometimes better.. You all know that i'm a really big fan of Sportsgirl and one of the many reasons why i love it so much is because their collaborations with different designers from all over the place.

This September designer Geoffrey collaborates with Sportsgirl with his label 'Antipodium'. Based out of East London but Australian at heart, Antipodium epitomises the global 'cool girl'. Each covetable piece is named after a location in East London, meaning Sportsgirls everywhere can get their hands on a piece of London town. I'm pretty excited because looking at these look book photos i am already in love with that sleeveless collared shirt, the red hooded cape/jacket & the baby blue baby doll dress!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival; Myer Miss Shop Launch

Opening the Show with a very neutral ‘down to earth’ colour palette. Embracing spring and playing up different blush and nude tones bringing out your inner feminine side. We see lots of floral prints, breezy silhouettes and crocheted trims.

On Saturday the 27^th of August at 3pm at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival, Myer turns its attention to the youth and young adults with the Miss Shop Fashion Launch. I was lucky enough to be seated front row to experience such a vibrant and colourful runway show inspiring everybody in the room. I sat there in awe of the latest fashion trends, making mental shopping lists of what I am going to purchase next and what I already have sitting in my wardrobe that I can wear with these new pieces. The show made me nostalgic for summer with an awesome RNB Dj playing songs that reminded me of those carefree day and nights at the beach and made me feel like getting off my seat and dancing! I am now finding myself longing for warmer weather with floral prints making a come back. Feminine embroidery, ruffles, colourful denim, harem pants, flirty dresses, bold colours, floppy hats, quirky patterned swimwear and earthy tones are all looking very popular for spring/summer. The Runway show featured pieces from Miss Shop, T By Bettina Liano, Bardot, Blue Juice, Riders by Lee, Quirky Circus, Finders Keepers and All about Eve. I bet you guys can’t wait to get your hands on some of these pieces because I know I am so excited to!

One of the reasons RUSSH is my ultimate favorite magazine is because of their editorials and shoots. Whether it's for Fashion, Beauty, Arts & Music the magazine is always using the creative side of their brains (and also have an amazing creative director *cough* Stevie Dance) and consistently put together ultra cool shoots. Another reason why i particularly love this shoot is because it's set in the heart of my favorite city and how could you not love those amazing clothes and flowy fabrics? The white Burberry sweater? Or that gorgeous button up Alexander Wang shirt in that delicate fabric? And don't forget the stunning Toni Maticevski dress! Colour blocking is back with a big bang. This season- and i think this will be a big trend for summer- it's all about mixing different colours when creating an outfit and putting blocks of solid colour next to each other to create a dynamic confident look. We've seen it on the runway at Gucci, Jil Sander, Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Rachel Roy, Z Spoke, Prada, and Diane von Furstenberg and now it's been taken to the streets and shops. I'm so excited to try this for summer 2011!

On my shopping trip yesterday i found the most adorable minty meets munt sheer chiffon long sleeved top with a white collar with little pearls on them.. I then got to thinking how cool would it be to have a bunch of collars just by themselves so you can mix & match with different shirts, jumpers etc.. These wonderment 100% leather collars come in plain simple colors and you can get them with studs. Major collar crush! it's definitely the new bow tie, but even better in my opinion! what do you guys think?

I got barley any photos today, because i forgot my camera was in my bag.. But i had a very good day in crown st, rummaging through all the opp shops, discovering new clothes and making shopping lists in my head of what to buy next. My outfit was very lazy because i simply couldn't be bothered getting dressed this morning, it was too cold (and im very lazy..) It's a very nice sunny day today especially after the depressing buckets of rain we got yesterday. I'm yearning for summer again- don't get me wrong i love the winter fashion and layering, always having a hot beverage in hand and sitting next to the heater but being australian i am currently nostalgic for the hot sun on my skin, being tanned, spending all day and night at the beach.. I had a nice late breakfast with one of my best friends who just got back from bali, so that might also be why I'm missing summer so much because i was sitting next to my sun-kissed friend showing me photos from her beautiful holiday.

I also recently died my hair 'chocolate-chestnut' and said goodbye to my ombre hair. I'm happy with the change i've missed having my hair all one color and having it dark- however looks lighter then it actually is in these photos..

Wearing his black cheap mondays, a vintage button up suede shirt, 'method's cap and classic leather black converse my best friend vas definitely has the best style out of many males that i know. He likes to keep it plain and simple without over doing/over thinking his look but still manages to come off with eye catching outfits that he literally just threw together keeping it 'tough' with his tasteful piercings. Thats why i love his outfits choices so much, he doesn't put too much thought into it. His staple clothing item are his never ending collection of flanos and piles of jeans varying from chino's and skinnys. You will usually catch up wearing his converse and sometimes the vans, and on a special occasion he wears his black docs. He's pretty much the definition of 'cool'.

I am aware that fashion week was over a month ago, but i never got the chance to upload some of the photos i took from it. I was only able go on the friday, but i plan to go the full week next year or in the years to come, it was such an inspirational day- not just because of the clothes on the runway but also because of the way everybody who was anyone in fashion that came to fashion week was dressed! It was incredible to see everyone who share the same passion all come together, which i have been left feeling nostalgic about. I want to go back. Better yet i want to finish school already so i can go out and do what i love, and frequently go to events like this.

Anyway! here are just a few snap shots from day 5 of RAFW. All the photos were taken by me except the photos of me, the top one was by a photographer for fullfrontalfashion, the close up of my skirt was by the photographer from leblackbook and the 3rd photo of me was by the sports girl photographer for the sports girl blog.

I was looking through the sports girl blog (as i do) and i found myself in one of their latest blog posts, which is exciting because i adore sports girl so much, and probably do make a purchase from there every week. This photo was taken at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week a few weeks ago.

I have always been a fan of 'over the knee' socks, and these sportsgirl ones went perfectly with my velvet & fur combination. I was afraid of having too much texture in one outfit but not only did it keep me cosy it gave my outfit that 'wintery vibe'.

I'm currently trying not to freeze to death, sitting under three blankets, with a hot tea with my good friend the heater on full blast next to me. Yep, it's currently around 9 degrees and i'm not used to it being so cold! So i decided to take my mind of this ridiculous weather by buying the new Yen magazine 'The winter fashion issue' and concentrating more on these amazing glossy pages full of inspiration and pretty pictures.

Apart from that i'm also looking through different blogs and photos, here i post some pictures i found and really liked. The first photo which i couldn't resist posting is of the adorable Suri Cruise! This is what i want my daughter to look like. I look at photo's of her and i am jealous of her.. she is a very lucky girl and is going to be so extremely gorgeous when she grows up may i add. The second photo is of the greek islands, i have been all over europe - but i've never been to greece and i am lusting to go so bad, especially during the summer. I wouldn't mind going to europe all over again actually. (Who wouldn't?) How adorable does one of my favorite style icon's Alexa Chung look in the third photo? I love how she puts her outfits together, she always looks incredibly chic with a touch of her own personal style, she gets it right every time.

I picked out eight of my favorite photos from LeLooks street style photo's, most of which are from Paris Fashion week. Its bizarre how different everyones style is in every different country. It would be awesome if people dressed like this in sydney, not degrading sydney or anything its fashion is looking up! RAFW was filled with amazing, new inspired outfits from people all over sydney (and people who came from different cites in australia). It would be amazing to be in the presence of all these amazing clothes in europe for paris fashion week (someday!) From these photos that i've picked its obvious that at the moment i am lusting over collared shirts, over sized knits, skirts - any length however maxi skirts are really catching my eye recently, fur fur fur (whether its faux or real- your personal choice.) Big sunglasses (who said you cant wear sunglasses in winter?) and amazing capes creating the cutest silhouette which i so much adore!

In my last post i mentioned my best friend vas, and then i started looking through my hundreds and thousands of photos stored on my laptop. These photos are from way back to winter last year to now. If i could use all the photos we have together- trust me i would there are so many memories with this boy. Looking over some of the spontaneous snips and snaps from friday over a hot chai latte and french toast.

I love the vibe you get when you're in newtown, no body cares what other people think, crown st is full of uniqueness and inspiration. Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to take more photos from this day and the rest of my weekend and photos of my outfit. My best friend/ partner in crime vas and i had such a nice friday night, visiting our good friend who's just turned 21 and is franticly doing all last minute things for her party thats next saturday night so we went and helped her in the late hours of the night and completely losing track of time whilst reminiscing on all our good times over tea.. The next day eloise and i hopped into her car and spent the day rummaging through all the racks in surry hills markets and glebe markets and then having a lovely lunch in a cute greek cafe in glebe (we are the biggest cafe go-ers) I regret not having my camera with me for the whole weekend..

Runway Inspiration AW11

I was reading the new june/july issue of one of my favorite magazines RUSSH with the gorgeous aline weber on the cover. At already 22 she has walked for marc jacobs, alexander wang, salvatore ferragamo, chanel, louis vuittion, and chloe. Shes opened for balcenciaga.. twice! played the student in tom ford's 'a single man' and has been between the sheets of numero, pop and interview and had graced the glossy cover of dazed & confused. wow so much respect to this gorgeous model. Anyway the point of this post is the new AW11 trends hitting the runways and feeding our inspiration for our next outfit. I took photos of my favorite looks (as seen above). We see leather bondage at alex mcqueen to sheer chiffon at mugler combined with corsets and hand cuffs at vuitton. Kinkiness comes to play on dominance and submission as as you all know im a big fan of chiffon and leather! This is also the season of the sweater, humble jumpers and knits hit the runway. One of my favorite come-backs is definitely the cape! in all forms of shapes and sizes and designers such as chanel, alexander wang and hermes took on their own interpretation of this dramatic silhouette. We spot parkas trimmed with fur, cropped, hooded or poncho style it is the 'must have' of the season. Everyone needs a good oversized jacket right? Another very popular trend hitting the street and the runway is fur. faux or real it's definitely becoming popular and this season it's all about the colour. fur and colour blocking collaborate on the runway for a new take on for this season's warmth.

With the shirt fixation comes collar concentration, yep collars are very much in style - and i for one am a very big fan of the 'collar' It signals innocence but really; means something entirely different. gender also takes another turn this time.. It's less about the 'tomboy look' but more elegant. Think a lady that looks like a dude.. yep tailored trousers, bow ties, braces and blazors are still much in style this season. Lastly another one of my favorite trends are prints. inspired by the avant- garde back in the beginning of the 20th centuary, expressionism has become the stroke of the season. Imitating art on your clothes, it's so great! What are your favorite AW11 trends? xx
